2022 | Kunoh Wines | Casablanca

$54.00

Description:

A blend of Pinot Noir, Alicante Bouschet and Pinot Blanc grown on clay. The Pinot Noir was macerated for a month before being combined with the co-fermented Alicante Bouschet and Pinot Blanc, all matured in amphora. Medium-bodied and well structured, it shows red-fruit intensity, a savory, briny note and notable depth.

Yuki Nakano, originally from Kyoto, farms a vineyard on the Bronte Peninsula in Upper Moutere. Part of a lively community of vignerons around Nelson on the northern edge of New Zealand’s South Island, he channels a wide-ranging experience of the wine world into his relatively young project, crafting distinctive wines defined by depth, stability, precision, structure — and, above all, deliciousness.
