2022 | L'egrappille | E(J)oka

$108.00

Description:

From a year when Catherine lost all her own fruit, she still worked with Minervois grower Thierry de Marne and used a small parcel of Colombard from Rémi Poujol. A blend of Gamay d’Auvergne and hybrids that drinks almost like a white: concentrated but restrained white and pink fruit, satin texture and soft acidity.

Catherine Dumora is an exceptional grower and we’re excited to welcome this new L’egrappille vintage. This comes from her very low-yield vineyard above Lamontgie. All fruit was direct-pressed to sandstone vats for fermentation and aging, producing a pale pink, medium-bodied wine with fresh pulpy texture, subtle red and white fruit, and a faint flinty curry-leaf note from careful handling.

The site’s minerality—granite, schist, quartz and some limestone—comes through, alongside ripe, expressive fruit.
