Direct press of Grenache Noir and Grenache Blanc from a single vineyard. A slow, vertical press over five days extracts juice from grapes grown by Anders and Anne on the Valgrand hillside southeast of Valvignères. Grenache Noir and Blanc were harvested together and pressed straight into the pressoir, then fermented in a fiberglass cuve. The wine underwent a short élevage on lees through winter and spring, contributing subtle bitter notes and greater aromatic complexity. Bottled in June directly from the cuve without racking, it retains freshness and fine lees character.
Anders and Anne pick very ripe fruit, producing higher alcohol levels and uncommon Grenache aromas. This 2023 rosé shows grapefruit and rose-leaf notes and a pale, almost white rosé color. Its texture and flavour profile place it slightly outside the typical rosé category—an expressive, aromatic wine that reflects careful vineyard selection and minimal intervention winemaking.
