Celler Tomàs Torres wines, produced in Carrícola just south of Valencia, showcase the fertile, calcareous soils of the region. These natural wines express chalky, saline whites and sun-drenched Mediterranean reds, all presenting medium body and lively freshness driven by the area’s chalky terroir. Since founder Vicent Tomàs retired, local vigneron Cris Vanyó has taken over vinification, ensuring a seamless transition that preserves the site-driven character and high quality of the fruit.
The Carrícola cuvée, made from local Tortosí and Tardana grapes, receives a six-day maceration before pressing and fermentation in tank. The result is a chalky, saline wine with delicate texture, restrained stone-fruit aromas and subtle bitter green-almond phenolics. This versatile natural wine pairs exceptionally well with green curry and a wide range of Mediterranean dishes.
