A wine between rosé and light red from Alsace winemaker Lambert Speilmann. Made from direct-press Auxerrois from 40-year-old vines on clay, with Pinot Noir skins left on the must for a week before pressing. The result is a deep pink rosé with a light Trousseau-like profile—fresh and lifted, with earthy notes and soft tannins.
Aroma: red berries, light florals and a touch of clay minerality. Palate: focused cranberry and wild strawberry flavors, gentle savory tannins and a hint of spice. Modest but precise structure; the wine opens up in the glass, showing more depth and savory character over time.
A newer cuvée in Lambert’s lineup, the 2023 is especially concentrated and polished, offering a balanced mix of rosé freshness and light red complexity.
