A blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, this is the only cuvée drawn from two distinct parcels in Collioure and Banyuls. Both sites sit on schist soils but have different exposures. The Syrah was aged for six months in old barrels. It captures the classic essence of Collioure: sun-soaked fruit, a touch of spice, and the vibrant energy of windswept, sea-breezy vineyards.
Léah Anglès began her wine career at Coume del Mas in 2014, worked vintages in Hawke’s Bay and Bordeaux, then returned to complete an oenology degree at Montpellier. The first in her family to enter the wine world, she holds a BSc in chemistry and chose winemaking over a life in a lab. Her passion for great food and curiosity about wine are evident across four cuvées, farmed from a scatter of dramatic parcels around Collioure and Banyuls. Predominantly Grenache, with Syrah and Carignan in the mix, her wines are an electric expression of the region’s remarkable terroir: steep, rocky slate and schist hillsides overlooking the Mediterranean, low bush vines shaped by the cool Tramontane winds.
