The 2024 Matassa Brutal Orange is a skin contact cuvée of 70% Grenache Blanc and 30% Macabeu. The wine has extraordinary liveliness and freshness, to which a pleasant acidity gives a great depth with notes of acacia flower, blood orange sherbet, with a lively yet silky palate and just the tiniest spritz of effervescence.
Grapes are left for 3 weeks on the skins, spontaneous fermentation of whole grapes and maturation in used 500 litre barrels. An unadulterated, yet clean and fresh wine with aromas of peaches, herbs and fine minerals. Dry in taste, with a pleasant grip and a long aftertaste.
